SMH, as a noromo, you've, "resigned myself to the fact that I've lost". Yep, I think I have to agree with you. The proof is in the pregnancy, or rather the announcement of it. Watch that scene again. If Scully had not been intimate with Mulder, not even heavy petting, wouldn't she have reacted differently? The very thought of immaculate conception or alien inplantation - that she didn't remember - should have driven her around the bend, don't ya think, instead of the happy/confused/laugh/tears of joy reaction we saw??
Umm, that'd be a good way to start Season 8...Scully's in an insane asylum and Mulder returns and WHAT?? She's What??and ....well, maybe not.

Have you not seen the teaser scene of "all things" at all?? I really wish you could, 'cause it, IMHO, ties in with the less than satifying kiss of Millenium. Scully doesn't seem particularly pleased as she gazes at the sleeping Mulder, that's the main reason I bought into the 'she slept on the couch and nothing happened between them' theory. You'd think she would have had at least a slightly different expression considering she had her socks knocked off by Mulder. She even walks out of the room like he's a piece of furniture, doesn't even blow him a kiss goodby.

Could it be possible that these certain scenes in these eps weren't supposed to be connected the way we are connecting them - the kiss in Millennium, the sleeping/CSM putting her to bed of EnAmi, the teaser of 'all things', and Requiem - and it is just luck they have tied-in together? The same way GA's RL pregnancy resulted in the whole cancer mytharc? I mean, ambiguousness is a given, but I'm thinking some scenes might have been directed differently if they were supposed to result in a connection. Esp. since GA has gone on record saying she would have acted the scene where she tells the review panel of Mulders death in what, Gethesmane? Redux??, in a different manner if she known how the story would play out. Just a thought.

A new level of noromo?? Well, I guess thats a way of survival in order to continue to watch and enjoy the XFiles. I think we have to trust (oh that's hard to type!) the writers and directors to handle this appropriately in the XFiles way, like detoured said. I'll bring the popcorn, 'K?

But. I'll be shouting from the rooftops, singing and dancing in the streets if in the season opener it's revealed she's had a false positive test result and says, "I knew it couldn't be possible because I haven't...."
thus, justifying the above mentioned scenes directed as we saw them.
