I think part of the reason for me that the ep ties in with All Things is because CC told us it did! His now famous comment at the So. Cal seminar saying that All Things would be explained in the season finale has a lot of fans believing what he wants us to. He even said more recently in EW that if he had seen there All Things scene he would wonder about the baby being Muldr's too.

I have a feeling he's got something up his sleeve though and will through a sneaky monkey wrench into things. Is this all just a CC chain jerking again? I for one wouldn't want Scully to announce the pregnancy as false next year. Not because I neccessarily am thrilled with the pregnancy story. I'm getting used to it though! :-) But because I hate being jerked back and forth. We had a very emotional scene with Scully saying she was pregnant.
So what's done is done. No going back. We had enough of that in Season 6 where things weren't what they seemed.
As for Scully's unenthusiastic reaction to Mulder in All Things I agree she didn't seem like she was overjoyed. But she didn't look upset about it or disappointed either. I see a couple options to explain for this. It could be she already said her goodbyes to him and told him to go back to sleep ( I think I read a plausible fanfic that was trying to explain her reaction in just this way). Maybe after she is just back to reflecting about Daniel and how her life has changed and how she might have messed it all up if she'd stayd with him. It had seemed like M&S had talked for hours so she probab luy still had some thinking to do.

It also could be that she is a bit apprehensive wondering about the deception they both have to keep up. Maybe they talked and agree that they had to keep quiet and put up a front at work and she's wondering if that's he way she wants to do this. Maybe she'd rather be shouting from the rooftops about Mulder but the'e agreed this is what they need to do. OR maybe they don't agree on that matter and argued a bit about it. But they are two very private people so it fits them to want to be discreet.
The other option is that Al Things wasn't the first time. This could have been going on most of the season, in fact there have been hints of it earlier than this. So maybe Scully has just fallen into a routine. Why did she have to leave during the night? Maybe a special meeting with someone from the Bureau or a call from Quantico?

Since GA directed the episode she may have some reason for not having Scully look ecstatic. But we also know CC wrote the last scene. I'm a bit confused on this. Did he write the last scene on the couch or the last scene that appeared cronologically in the ep which would be the teaser? That opening monologue does have CC's prints all over it. Maybe GA wanted to have that scene clearly implying they slept together but CC has altered the perception of it because it was too obvious.

I read an interview with WBD who said that CC has told him that the CSM's death was meant to be ambiguous That's CC trademark. Keep us guessing. So it may have been CC's idea to have Scully not look overjoyed just so we would wonder why and shed some doubt that anything happened. It's classic CC manipulation.

Maybe she didn't want to leave Mulder that night but she had an appointment and was just sad about that? Who'd want to leave him! :-) Well I've rambled on too long on this and am probably making Sleepless and SMH ill ;-) The point is, from what we can tell from the end of Requiem it is clearly obvious Scully knows or at least believes Mulder is the father.
