detail. The baby. If he or she is allowed to live by the almighty CC and if it is Mulder's, the relationship's dynamics will change dramatically.

The most important person in Scully's life won't be Mulder anymore but her baby and vice versa. Things will change between them, it's unavoidable. Not that I have anything against it, in fact it would be kinda cute to see them in their parenting role but not in this show!
What was CC thinking, I mean, how can he make this situation X-Filey without recycling previous eps? I just can't imagine what he has in mind with this baby story.
I guess I'll have to wait and see if I still feel like this by the time Requiem airs here. But if it's like you say and it's all gradual and very subtle (even SMH said she can live with that) I guess maybe I can grow to accept the "Luuv". But this baby thing worries me a LOT!
I agree that being in love doesn't mean the friendship has to end but I disagree about sex not changing things. It does. I mean, look! There's a BABY now!

I love babies, but this baby has me tearing my heair out in my sleep.
