I didn't catch that blooper. Were they maybe referring back to a few years ago, when Gibson was twelve? Like "The aliens were trying to get rid of a twelve year old boy, Gibson Praise". Sort of story telling? Otherwise I can't account for it and it's a boo-boo.

What struck me about the stuff in the alien ship: *is* it really happening or is it Scully's fear of what might be happening? The other thing which slightly amused me is why would these super advanced beings be using plodding metal tools. Even we backward humans can use lasers for cutting. How come they didn't? Was it just to see how much pain he could stand? And why is his face pinched like that? There are surely other ways to keep his head still. I think these horrific images are purely to elicit sympathy in the viewer - and it's working!

I thought it was very moving when Scully slept with Mulder's shirt. I felt she'd reached such a point of despair and despondency that all she could do was give in to her misery and try to conjure him up. Not too shippy, no. As for the baby stuff - if it turns out *not* to be Mulder's child, I'll eat my hat. Surely she is returning to the scene of whatever went on there between them! (And yes, I am aware she was meant to be barren, but this is the XF so I suppose I am thinking 'miracles happen')
