she accepted the reason she was barren to begin with, based on her medical and scientific background. She knew that she had had cancer, had undergone treatment (which can kill fertility) and also knew that she had been made to "super ovulate" which supposedly had taken her ova. (Here we go again on the ova issue, oh well.) Anyhow, her medical background would have not questioned the results don't you think? I guess I do. Maybe the testing didn't quite take everything--supposedly it was the syndicate who took her and since they are human (evil yes) maybe they didn't do a thorough enough job?

I like the idea that the genie or the spaceship restored her fertility and that Mulder will be the happy father--maybe he realized how happy they both could be. She could have what he said she should have and he could still chase the "unknown."
