Subject: After rewatching "Hollywood, A.D."

Several things I didn't notice or don't remember commenting on the first time around:
1. Mulder's "Have I pissed you off even more than normally?" line to Skinner after "Skinman" has sicced the writer/producer on him. Absolutely hilarious!
2. The fact that, when Mulder and Scully were first investigating the case, it seemed to be just a straight forward bombing/murder/forgery case. Granted, supernatural elements begin popping up once their investigation was underway, but why were they assigned the case in the first place? Was it just because Skinner wanted to assign his two most "colorful" agents to the first available case in order to impress his friend?
3. Watching it the second time around, it seems even more apparent to me that during the "present day" segments (while they are watching the premiere of the movie) Mulder and Scully are involved in a sexual relationship with each other. The contrast between the way they treated each other in the "18 months earlier" segments — friendly, but platonic — and the way they treated each other during and immediately after the premiere, at the very beginning and very end of the episode — flirting, handholding, jealousy — is enormous!
