Subject: Millenium start--was this the start of more yet to come?

Somehow, after watching a tape of, I think Amor fati (? the one where he has brain surgery) last night, I have finally concluded that this was where they both stated their feelings for each other--no "I love you's" but rather the *feelings and emotions* that are the basis for a long-lasting relationship, complete with the love component (IMHO anyhow.)

Somehow I think that after the kiss in Millenium and his comment "see the world didn't end", they began to see their relationship in a different light. Probably not in bed, yet, but nevertheless, much more intimate now that they know how each other feels. I think that his statement "see the world didn't end" had a double meaning--both for the projected end of the world (although she is right, the new millenium starts with this next New Year) and his way of telling her that a relationship isn't the end of anything ie. her career. (I have gotten the feeling that she has been afraid that a relationship would interfere with her passion for the career she has chosen.) The kiss was something I think he has wanted to do but didn't have the *appropriate opportunity* but after seeing a couple on TV kissing, he simply took the initiative and did it. Not that he maybe could have done so earlier--he may not have felt the timing was right.

I watched the two-part season openers with Millenium right after them last night--sort of put things into a little clearer perspective for me. Have thoughts on the second part of that series too! CSM definitely fits the biblical description of Satan shown by his deception and the mind control things that he did to Mulder. The jerk has quite a blown-up ego--thinks he's Christ but I think he's only evil trying to gain followers. "Taking over for him" (Mulder) is quite a egotistical, self-satisfying statement--glad he had complications!
