I think this was discussed before but I am not sure. Anyhow, the comment that Mulder made to Scully about "not having David Crosby's baby" never made a lot of sense until I realized where that reference came from and what it was about. He had said it in Requiem, I think, and at the time I thought he was just trying to be funny. Given the ending, I have two thoughts and am wondering if I am way out in left field (or maybe out of the ball park?)
1. I think that he knew she didn't need David C. to father a child because they had elevated their relationship to the "ultimate level." This would explain the pregnancy timelines to me.
2. Here's the wierd one--I can't help wonder if Mulder knew she was pregnant in Requiem--that he has had his "powers" all along but that his brain surgery was one which gave him the power to control or monitor it? What about it anybody???
