No you aren't the only one who has a stack of questions. I will have to watch those two episodes again as I have forgotten some of the details. I also have always wondered why Cassandra never told Mulder that she raised Samantha--probably because she didn't?? All I remember is that she told Mulder that Samantha was "with them" meaning the aliens.

Earlier there has been a discussion on CSM being Mulder's father--I don't think so but WHAT IF Samantha was? That might explain why she was taken and not Mulder. The other thing that I thought of was how many families does CSM have? You read about that happening where some guy has a couple of families--maybe CSM did that too and that was where Samantha was raised and not with Cassandra and Spender. Spender would have said something if she was with him as a child, don't you think? Of course, CSM could have had his memories taken away too.

As for CSM being dead--I want to see him in a casket, lowering the lid and dropping him into the ground all in one sequence with no chance that he isn't in it. Until then, I have a hard time believing he is dead and gone from the plot.
