As you probably know this is the only episode I flat out didn't like in season 7. Although it wasn't because Mulder and Scully were scarce. But I agree with islandgirl that since it was necessary to have an M&S lite ep I wouldn't have minded say, another Skinner ep. How about "A day in the life of Walter Skinner at the FBI"?

I wouldn't have minded a good monster ep but this wasn't it. Frankly I thought the actor's performance was just unitertesting. That was my main beef. I didn't like nor care a bout Rob. I must have been really dense because I didn't catch on that we were getting the monster's POV. Maybe because this is the first ep that really bored me.
And I didn't hate it but I think with TXF, boring is worse. Perhaps this show just can't work without seeing how the agents get from point A to point B even if they do take leaps.

It's an interesting idea so perhaps a more engaging monster would have been better. And I thought Rob's whole speech to the overeaters group was in really bad taste. And why did it drag on so long? Was it that the script was a page or two short so they padded that scene?

Well there's my rant! I'm glad some of you got something more out of it. Maybe some day it will grow on me. :-)

"What's this, God cop, insane cop?"
(the only part I liked)
