When I first started reading the first part he just seemed too forlorn. But I think you'll think he fits the character much more as it progresses. In fact I thought he seemed much more like Mulder than DD did in some of his performances this year! Mulder is essentially a tragic 'sad clown' character (at lest in part) and I think DD sometimes plays him a bit TOO upbeat at times.

I emailed the author of this and she told me that none of the post "all things" stories satisfied her because they were too quick and didn't deal with any of the inevitable repercussions that the jump to an intimate relationship would have brought about. She said she knew CC would never show this on screen so she invented it.

Let me know what you think of the rest.
