Subject: The Goldberg Variation and Rush revisted re: the MSR

OK these two eps were both just repeated here the last two weeks. They were always brought up as some kind of evdience that M&S might have been fooling around back earlier in the season because of how flirty they both were. So I rewatched them this time with all that in mind.

In Rush I do see some scnes were they are closer. The infamous tie fidddling, 'do it for me' bit. And why is it throughout much of the ep Scully has her shirt unbuttoned? I see Mulder taking a glimpse at least once! Other than that the other scenes like when they first meet up on the case didn't hit me as strongly this time. I don't think they were together yet but may have done a bit of talking about that Millenium kiss so that's why they are acting more chummy. Just some teasing. Although...the scene where Mulder glances back at Chastity in the hallway and Scully drags him away in a very protective manner is rather interesting.

Now TGV is another matter. I don't know. It looks to me like both DD and GA were just both in an ultra goofy mood all through this one and it may have little to do with Mulder and Scully at all! Like they had shared some offscreen good news. DD especially can't seem to contain his smile during the whole thing.

Scully is somewhat flirty during the part where she suggests they can get back to DC by nightfall but I do't think it necessarily points to them going back for any hanky panky. And she does joke around more than usual like with her comments about Weems not being able to find the door. I do think maybe they were headed in a certain direction (I'm talking M&S here now) but where exactly? I'm still confused! Anyone else have any comments? Concrete proof or evidence to back up any theories?

And Mulder sure looked really really good in that hospital scene in his white tshirt! Oh sorry, wrong board! ;-)
