Subject: How advanced can that alien technology be? (Requiem)

...I was just thinking about the alien craft that crashed in the Oregon woods and it made me start to think about the ship that Scully worked on in "Amor Fati". Was it repairing itself? Is that why it disappeared at the end? That would mean it wasn't an ancient artifact at all just a recently crashed ship? Then I started to think about all of the downed craft in the X-Files...the prehistoric craft that contaminated those cavemen, the one on the ocean floor, the one that took Max in Tempus Fugit, the one that the Bounty Hunter used in the Arctic, the one that crashed in Russia, the one the air force covers up in "Jose Chung's from Outer Space" and say it with me...Roswell!

Now, I ask you again...How advanced can these aliens be when they can't even seem to avoid crashing into something as obvious as Earth. Maybe what we really need is some sort of sign "Slow Down...Dangerous Gravity" or a planetary guard rail or something.
