I actually did not like this fanfic. The author tried to keep the "suspense" of mysteryperson being the baby too long. After "buddy" is born, he doesn't call Scully "mom" but somehow he immediately calls Mulder "dad."

I found Buddy's voice unbelievable. Research on language development and formation has shown that children actually grasp basic grammar very well because it follows a consistent pattern. The grammatical mistakes would be made where there are irregularities- i.e. "She eated the cookie" instead of "She ate the cookie" is a more likely error than confusing "they" and "them." Also, he develops more sophisticated syntax while talking to Mulder, but once he is born he reverts back to simple structure.

The idea itself is wierd too. Talk about being born 30! As funny as the idea of Look Who's Talking is, it doesn't work for a "dramatic" story.
