You could be right--but weren't both Mulder and Krychek infected? The black oil left Mulder after he had the antidote in Tunguska, but Krychek had to be left in the silo on top of the space craft in order to get rid of his black oil infection. Which leads me to wonder if the Krychek we are seeing now is the "real" one or a shape-shifting alien who has killed off the real one and taken his place? If he was an alien, his purpose would be to lure Mulder back to Oregon so they could abduct him. I thought Marita was too mechanical--somehow I think she too is an alien--there was at least one alien in the high security center where we saw her last (but she looked like *#@ due to the oil infection she also had). Did the aliens do the same thing to her as well?

It would fit then--meddling with CSM's agenda would stop CSM's plan and allow the invasion to begin by the original alien group. They would already be starting their 'takeover' a few bodies at a time. Maybe there are forces within--the bounty hunter for example--who are acting like X and Deep Throat did in trying to prevent this???

OH for Season 8!!! Let's hope that CC and crew really do a top notch job in wrapping up this if they intend to stop at the end of Season 8!
