Hi Islandgirl!

I saw Tron when it came out in 1982 (18 years ago yikes!) I was 10 when I saw it so I was pretty confused about the whole thing. In it Jeff Bridges, who plays a computer wizard, gets zapped into a computer game and becomes part of the game. If he is killed in the game he will die in real life. He meets up with a character named Tron who helps him try and escape the game.

I have seen the movie since 1982, and I enjoy it better now. The big deal about Tron at the time was its state-of-the-art special effects, and its tie-in with the arcade game craze.

In the "First Person Shooter," certain XF characters will find themselves in a virtual reality game with a Lara Croft/Tomb Raider type of character. I think it will be a fun and different sort of episode. This season they have been trying out some unique storytelling angles. I applaud their creativity!

Athenaxphile :-)
