Subject: On there being no body...

The only thing that someone pointed out that I have trouble with is when Mulder was in the hogan in The Blessing Way and is visited by his father who tells him Sam is not with him (So she must be alive). But who knows if Mulder was really being visited by those people. It may have just been his own wishful thinking. Also maybe the children and adults rescued by the walk-ins are on a different plane than others at least until their loved ones can learn of their fate. Maybe the the kids who weren't taken by the walk-ins but were also there (adding another idea to what Chantal was wondering) for a reason..to help Mulder believe and put him at ease. Maybe they were all there to help Samantha show Mulder the answer.

I agree everything has been vague and can make sense with this outcome. As for no body, thee are many real cases where a body has not been recovered but the person is still presumed dead. I think people have been tried in court for murder even without a body haven't they? Maybe I'm wrong. Sometimes people are just never found which I think is what this whole idea with the walki-ins is about. So many children and adults go missing every year without a trace. This is CC's little explanation for some of those cases. I find it an interesting idea.

Sam might have been in horrible shape but I'm sill going with the idea the Mulder would want her in any condition. His only change of heart was with this last case when he said he hoped to find her dead but I think that was just because he couldn't take any more of the pain and uncertainty. It made me think of Paper Hearts when Addy Sparks' father thought that not knowing might be better than knowing she was dead but then decided death was still worse when he found out the truth.

det :-)
