I agree that Scully's character was particularly well drawn in this one. I wonder if the writers felt they'd better make sure of that since this was such a "litle boy" show! (Sorry to sterotype!). But they made darn sure Scully had a lot to say on the matter and she ended up being the dominant one.

I didn't even catch the Sword in the Stone analogy!

I don't know whether or not these video games help channel vioent impulses. I guess that was Mulder and Scully's debate. I agreed with what Mulder had to say about the matter in the ep Wetwired but I do have reservations about these kind of VR games where there is so much emphasis on one person killing another and it's considered entertainment
