Subject: I've been rewatching S6 on reruns, so I gotta ask
In reply to: Misterio 's message, "Can this season be saved?" on 11:30:38 03/12/00 Sun

Do you (can you) actually think that season 7 is worse than season 6? I've only been online with TXF this past year, so I was really excited to find so many people to talk XF with. I now realize that my enthusiasm for the conversation may have carried over to my enthusiasm for the show (not a bad thing, not a bad thing!) and that perhaps I overrated S6. Rain King! Terms of Endearment! Arcadia! I've seen em all again, and they are b-a-d. S6 had its clunkers to be sure. More than weak stand-alones, S6 marked the departure from the traditional mythology to a completely different one. So far, I think the S7 stand-alones have been much better than those of season 6, although the mythology (which was begining to redeem itself) did take a turn for the worse after "Closure."

S7 is doing way better than S6. I'm reluctant to criticize the last season of my beloved XF, so maybe I'm overrating again. That said, I'm enjoying TXF a lot and always look forward to Sunday nights.
