I agree with everything you said, Hairytoes, even the gore, and the nice feeling of being creeped out by an ep again, along with the formulaic "Mc"-feel, the wimpy doctor and his daughter, etc. And then there was suddenly blind, suddenly able to see Scully...whatever.

I hated Scully in this ep. She was back in that "I hate my life" mode from those eps that made me nauseous last season. I still don't know why Mulder doesn't tell her where to shove it when she gets in auto-pilot mode like that. Would it have killed her to just...ALMOST SMILE...JUST ONCE? I hate it when Mulder has to tip-toe around her, and all he could do was overuse the "yes you surprise me" theory. Again, WHATEVEVER! The eps when she acts that way ALMOST send me to Noromo-ville.

Not my fave ep by a landslide, but not the worst either. Just another one that allowed me to flip through a magazine while I watched (an extremely alarming trend).

Next week's ep looks much better--CSM and TLG reappear! WOO-HOO!!!
