This might sound really odd, but I thought the scene with Harold not believing the truth about his little boy was perfect. It struck me as the continuation of Mulder's search. Mulder found his closure because he was ready to find it. I dare say that if this had happened earlier in his life he wouldn't have believed it. Harold is now like Mulder was in the past, blindly searching, refusing to believe his son is actually gone. I found it very sad, but very realistic. Harold was the one who told Mulder what had happened to his son and Mulder's sister but when it actually turned out to be that he couldn't handle the truth (I want the truth! You can't handle the truth!) just as I believe if Mulder had found truth that his sister was abducted by aliens he wouldn't be able to handle it because he still wouldn't know her present condition. Make sense?
