Subject: Questions and more Questions!

As of last night, this episode has moved into my all time favorite Mulder one. If he doesn't get an award (along with one for special effects and writing) I will be more than slightly irritated! However I still have a few nagging questions--especially about timelines!
1. How long did Jeffrey Spender and Cassandra actually live with CSM? I thought Jeffrey didn't know his father--he didn't recognize CSM when they first ran into each other. The handprints were a nice touch, but somehow I don't get the feeling that CSM spent much time at home with his family--he was so busy with his work, project, being nasty, etc. Jeffrey's memories could have been erased but why not Cassandra's too ?
2. When Cassandra told Mulder that his sister was with "them", I assumed they were talking about the aliens. She had said this after her latest abduction and return. Could the Walk-ins take Samantha away from the aliens? Here is where the timelines are a little goofy. Why didn't Cassandra remember having Samantha in her home and raising her? Frankly I like the story from "Closure" but this is a nagging question for me.
3. Speaking of Cassandra, did the alien rebels burn her too? I don't remember seeing a chared gurney in the scene with the burned bodies. She had been brought there on a gurney to be taken away with CSM. Was she taken again by the rebels?
4. Back to "Closure." Did anybody else notice WHO the walk-ins were in the scene with Harold and Scully--just before the little boy takes him to the room with the diary? There was a uniformed man there who looked just like Jeffrey Spender--the young version of CSM. The camera showed him twice and paused the second time! Now the big Question--if this is the case, then who is CSM REALLY??? Was CSM actually taken by the Walk-ins to save him before being taken by Aliens? Is the current CSM really an Alien here who is conducting the program--I have always wondered how he could supervise/conduct such a complicated program of scientific research in so many areas!
5. As to Mulder's reaction when woken up at 3:03 by Harold, I thought that Mulder was dazed--really confused--probably not totally awake. He does sleep in his clothes an awful lot--I think he falls asleep watching TV. I can only remember him using his bed once--in Monday. Otherwise the only other time I remember him being in a bed of any kind is when he is in the hopital. Harold had said that he could only sense the walk-ins presence and could summon them--he never said that he could talk with them which is why he can't find his son. But I do agree that he is where Mulder was before running into Samantha.
6. Brain Surgery--Yippee!!!I hope that CSM has one huge abcess eating up his brain. Glad to see him so sick. That's what he gets for wanting and taking something that wasn't his in the first place. I still wonder what Krychek put into Mulder--after all he put the little robot-things into Skinner's blood stream. I still think that he did something like that to Mulder. Maybe it's good that Mulder doesn't have to suffer like he was. Perhaps whatever they put into him helped him to see the walk-in children and Samantha. Was his mother saved by the walk-ins as well?
7. Last two things, I really hope that CSM isn't going to end up being portrayed as a "savior of the world"--that would really make me gag and puke. And finally, I hope that CC isn't going to end this series with the characters waking up in bed talking about this wild dream they had. That would really be an insult!
