Subject: Making an effort to make XF more realistic this season?

In the early seasons of "XF" CC and company seemed to make at least a token effort to have Mulder and Scully behave in ways that were somewhat similar to those of real F.B.I. agents. They were sometimes show testifying in court, attempting to justify their business travel expenses to Skinner, etc.
Later on, they didn't even bother to pretend that Mulder and Scully were behaving in ways that would be authorized or justified for real F.B.I. agents. We were seeing them travel to Hong Kong, Anarctica, Africa, etc.
Just lately, though, it seems like more of an effort has been made to reintroduce a bit of realism into "XF". A good example of this was when Mulder was being besieged by reporters during "Sein Und Zunt". This is exactly the sort of thing an actual F.B.I. agent handling a high-profile kidnapping case wold have to deal with, but it's the first time we've ever seen it on "XF".
