Yes it IS strange, yankeesnut, 'cause I almost always agree with detoured too! It's mighty strange!

What does "HAG" mean next to Scully's name? Were you referring to her haircut? LOL! It's awful, I think. Not that anyone gives a rat's arse about my opinion, and GA can certainly wear her hair any way she wants to, but E!Gads! what on earth was she thinking!!?? In a couple of scenes it actually looked like a wig I thought.

OK, I've got a question. What kind of "powers" were at work in the hand holding seance scene? They were holding hands and Mulder lets go and wanders off with the little ghost boy. Why didn't either George B or Scully notice that Mulder let go? Something had to be influencing them. So it would seem it wasn't just Mulder's "choice" after all. And just to be picky, how come Mulder didn't say "Scully, look!" when he saw the kid just so he'd have her 'scientific' opinion too, instead of accepting the kid so readily?

I'm beginning to look at this episode in a whole new light. Esp the visions, ghosts or walk-ins - whatever. I think Mulder had some residual effects of the mushrooms from Field Trip working here and influenced by the nutbag in prison tale of walk-ins and all the events of the disappeared children, his poor psyche made-it up; he hallucinated the entire "closure" scene even the little boy, so he could have something to belief about Samantha so he could put it behind him. "Cept it doesn't explain how he found the diary.

Bottom line, he "chose" to believe. So he could have closure. He said he hoped one of the remains would be Sam so he could put it behind him however unlikely it seemed Sam would be there. He was clearly reaching, grasping at staws. So my above tongue-in-cheek scenario makes alittle more sense when you think about it. But, we all know "Spooky" Mulder wouldn't have needed the mushroom residue, ha!

however, if this scenario could be true, then while our poor Mulder has his release from Samantha guilt it also shows us more he is much more demented than we thought!!

Give me long enough and I can justify anything,

still feeling a bit betrayed by CC,
Chantal
