Subject: Mulder and Scully in this ep

I agree this was a great ep. A while back, TV Guide did a feature on the 20 best TV episodes ever (these could be from any show that has ever aired on American TV) and "Clyde Bruckerman" was one of the ones they chose.
As for the "deaths" of Mulder and Scully:
1.) Maybe it's because Scully and I share the same religious beliefs, but I just interpreted the "you'll never die" line to Scully to mean she would have eternal life in Heaven.
2.) As for Mulder's method of dying. . .Clyde never said *WHEN* this would happen. Maybe it won't happen 'til Mulder's in his 80s and has had a long, happy marriage to Scully. . .but now she's dead and he's kind of wigged out and is behaving in a very odd manner. We saw in "Amor Fati" that the one event that would make Mulder no longer care to be alive was the death of his beloved partner. (When CSM told him Fowley and Samantha were dead, Mulder struggled to keep on living. When CSM told him Scully was dead, Mulder seemed ready to throw in the towel.) It would still be an undignifed way to go, not to mention darn hard to explain to the grandkids!
