I don't understand why people hate this one so much either. The only explanation I've really heard is 'because it's not an x-file'. Well so what? Irresistible and Paper Hearts weren't really x-files either. This wasn't as god as those but I liked the mood of this. Very dark. And I liked seeing Mulder and Scully doing some "police work". I thought the Asian detective was an interesting character. And I like stories with shocker endings. Even though I'd already read in advance what the story of this was.

It was filmed and directed very stylishly and all the acting was good.
Wasn't this the one where Scully made a joke about leaving her heart in San Francisco and Mulder was surprised at her humor? Cute!

A Modest Proposal sounds gruesome! Along those same lines...Have you ever seen the movie, Soylent Green?
