CW hands it to a quite penitent Bubba who slipped it over his head. "Now you behave yourself and maybe some day when you have shown us that you know how to act appropriately, maybe we will let you take it off. But for now, you're stuck with it" :-) she said with a big smile.

"Food--let's see about a menu. There's grocery shopping to do, and lots of cooking" thought CW. Suddenly a thought (wonder of all wonders--a thought!) hit her and she asked the mayor if they could talk in private.

Walking back to the Mayor's office, CW (being the senior conspirator here) said quietly, "Poor Mulder really needs to do something away from the bar, IMHO anyhow. I really could use some help making fresh salsa--it takes a lot of work to chop up enough veggies for a big batch and since he is already crying, the onions shouldn't make any difference."

"What else are you planning to make?" asked the Mayor, starting to get hungry.

"It all depends on how much help I can get. I would love to put together a buffet with a variety of things. Wontons, egg rolls, a couple of different pizzas--deep dish of course, soft-shelled make-your own tacos, and of course, red velvet cake for dessert" said CW. "The menu is open for suggestons of course. The beverage will have to be rootbeer for those underaged fans, BYOB for those of us who are old enough"

"Hmm" thought the Mayor. Stopping at the door to her office she asked "will there be a charge for this?"

"Not unless you plan on taxing this party" said CW. "I think we all need to celebrate our season premiere and still try to make poor Mulder feel better--don't you agree?"
