Okkkk... If everybody is going to sit here and say stuff about us cheerleaders I guess I need to say something since I am one!!! I agree with everybody who says that we need and coach who knows what they are doing. I really don't think there should be three different squads!! I am a football cheerleader and I thank everybody for the compliments on the football squad... I have been cheering for twelve years I think I would know a little bit about it!! and I will gladly say that the basketball girls do work hard, however, they are not good!!! I am sorry.. the parents want to say stuff and the coaches but I think it needs to be said by somebody that experiences it and knows if a team is good or not!!! That would be another GOOD cheerleader!!! I will be a senior next year and I don't want these girls that are clearly not cheerleaders walking around with a title that they really don't deserve. Working hard is a must but cheerleading is alot more than that.... just because you practice hard doesn't make you a true cheerleader. The football and the elite squad are the "real" cheerleaders... I am sorry but I don't think people should try to be something they are not... which is exactly what some of these girls on the b-ball squad are doing... they are NOT cheerleaders!!!!!!! I would really call them a pep squad.. they don't do alot of pepping like we use to do when all of us old girls were on the team.. however. I do not give them the title they think they have as cheerleaders at UCHS... they aren't ... and as for the coaches you always talk about wanting us to be really good and not talked badly about... but how bout you listen to these comments and take it back to ONE squad...and one only.. I promise if our cheering was put at stake to where we had to cheer both or neither.. we wouldn't stop something we love doing because of it.... so to stop all of this bad mouthing... take back to the way it was and it will stop.. have a good team like claiborne and all of these other schools and like said before the county would get alot of respect and the crowd would be more energetic with the original 20 girls!!!! but I will see if our selfish coaches go for it!!! That is the truth of everybodys argument about our squad!! The Original 20!!
