I am confused about your message,Brenda. To me, "Angry" was on your side saying that the animals should be free. At any rate, I do not think it is fair for them to charge $75 just to get your own dog back. If they are in need of money, they could do fundraisers and such. If they were going to charge people at all to get their dog back, I think somewhere along the lines of $20 would be plenty. That could be the charge for food and shelter for the dog while it was in their care. But $75?? That is a little much. Plus, I would think that they do not keep their animals for long before they put them to sleep, do they? The fee in Knox County is only $45. If you are going to adopt an animal there, that cost even includes their shots, and they spay or neuter them also. I think that is pretty cheap considering how much a vet would charge you to do all of that to your own dog!
