Okay, for all you folks who can't get ahold of the Humane Society...

They are located at the intersection of Hines Creek and Hickory Star Road. Load the animal up and take them to them. And if you can't load the animal drive over there and talk to them. That way you won't get an answering machine.

And I believe I saw where the county had given them some small funding in the paper some time back. Go talk to Larry and see if he can't help. Either give them ample funding, or if they aren't doing their job (and I believe they are trying) cut the funding they do get and give it to someone else.

To me, the animal issue in our county is far larger than the litter issue and a lot more health risk. If we are going to have a Humane Society the county should fund it and set minimum requirements for them to receive that funding.

These folks are doing the best they can probably, but they are underfunded and not getting the support they need from the county government.
