Not that I really care all that much, but. . .

I'm confused as to where Doggy was supposed to be from?? Early on, I could have sworn it was mentioned (either on the show or in an article about season eight)that he was from New York City. Later on, he seemed to be more of a southern redneck type (i.e. watching NASCAR. . .and wasn't that place in Georgia where Scully gave birth to William supposed to be Doggy's hometown??).
An inability to remember what part of the country his male leads hail from seems to be one of CC's hallmarks. Mulder was portrayed as having been born and raised in New England for the first seven seasons of the show, but was suddenly revealed to have family ties to North Carolina during the first ep of season eight.
