Hello, CW, mind if I butt in here?

I'm surprised your librarian didn't suggest books by Joseph Campbell. Have you tired any of Joseph Campbell's books? Not knowing exactly what you want I am alittle hesistant to suggest them.

Campbell's books include the "Masks of God: Oriental Mythology", "MoG: Occidental Mythology", "MoG: Creative Mythology", as well as "Myths to Live By", and "The Hero With a Thousand Faces". Personally, I find these books not easy to read and hard to absorb, but fascinating all the same. But, hey, that's just me, you might relish them!!

A good place to start if your local branch library has a video section, is "The Power of Myth", by Joseph Campbell and Bill Moyers. It was a limited series on television once, probably PBS. It's only a talk fest, not a movie and no action, between these two guys about various world wide myths and how they can be applied to our everyday world. Perhaps your branch can get it on loan..

Hope this helps some. Happy reading! :)
Chantal
