I watched this episode a couple of times, and enjoyed it more during the second viewing. I was happily surprised to see Rob Bowman back as a director. I liked the scenes of the TLG under the overpass, which had kind of a movie look to them. And the plane scene had fantastic special effects. Quite a suspenseful action scene indeed! :)

The Octium 4 chip was of course a parody of the Pentium 4 processor. On my Fox station they ran those new Pentium 4 commercials with the Blue Man Group during the episode. I wonder what the Intel people thought about this episode's insinuation that new computer processors invade your privacy. Hmmm.... They probably weren't too amused! ;-)

I wonder if they will share their high-flying (pardon the pun) adventure with Mulder, Scully, Skinner, or Doggett. I can just picture the dialogue:

Langley "Hey guess what! We saved New York City last night! Byers' plane missed crashing into the World Trade Center by less than a meter!"

Scully "Uh huh." ;-)

I definitely enjoyed the TLG pilot better than the Harsh Realm pilot, which IMHO was a bit grim. I think TLG has great potential if it can survive the dreaded Friday night timeslot!
