The show's message that I got was that no matter what the career, people who love their work put up with the inconveniences that go along with it. I can't say the "pains in the rear" I have now are all that great, but every job I have had seems to have a down side. I am a teacher, no swimming pool, a car with 78,000 + miles on it and know exactly what you are talking about. Kids are fine--it's some of the other adults both in the building and out that are the "pains."
