How old is Mitch?

I know Skinner is supposed to be in his early 50s, but I'm guessing Mitch is actually a big younger. . .like in his mid-40s? Even so, there must be a fairly significant age difference between him and Arlene (unless she just looks a *LOT* younger than she really is). But, hey, if they're happy (and they certainly seem to be!) that's not any of my business.
It's funny that on most shows the actors are older than the characters (like all those shows that have twentysomething actors portraying high school students) but on XF both GA and MP portray characters who are older than they are.
Does *anybody* connected with XF have a son??
