I was curious about his age, and turns out he turned 50 on April 5! He certainly looks good for a fifty year old man. His wife was born in December 1966, so that makes her...let's see if I can do my math...35 years old? Hm. That's the same age difference between my dad and my stepmother. Ten years ago she seemed way too young for him, but now it's not so bad.

As far as XF people with sons, I know that RP has one son. And if I'm not mistaken, didn't Frank Spotnitz's son play William?
