I mean, yes, he is a new character and for some, he may be seen as a direct replacement for Mulder. But CC has said this isn't so and he has also *not* said that MP or NL *won't* be given more action. It's clear that GA is going to have to carry the heart of the continuing show and a missing Mulder is surely going to mean a lot to her, so Mulder (or the spirit of Mulder) can't be sidelined that much. I think that CC will be clever, as he usually is. Remember the furore amongst people who were afraid that Chris Owens would be pushed forward when DD first asked for less screen time? But CO fitted in, as did Mimi Rogers. Their presence had a big and significant impact on the storyline but they never 'took over'. I say, give Doggett a chance. RP might have been the baddie terminator in T2 Judgment Day, but maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt this time around - at least til people have a reason to dislike him and/or his role. All IMHO. :-)
