I'm surprized in some of the old eps, Season 4, for example, how Scully smiles and laughs. They seem to have made her much more sullen for Seasons 5 and 6.

Can't remember the ep names, but for example, when she's driving in that military base in California she grew up in and she's remembering Mell; when Mulder returns from being thought dead in New Mexico (getting-on-the-elevator scene); when Mulder comes back from the concentration camp in Russia that Ratboy had tricked him into; and some other scenes, too, that don't necessarily involve Mulder (but I guess I don't remember them right now).
