Though the question was casual and seemed simple, it held much more meaning than if she was asking the average person - and no matter how he answered, she would know the truth about how he was feeling.

  • He thought about that for a moment, most people could just easily throw out a fine and to some people he would do the same - but he knew she genuinely wanted to know how he was doing. "Well, I think I may have been pushing it a bit the past few weeks and it all caught up with me last night, couldn't eat anything, was sick for awhile, and then slept for about eighteen hours." He shrugged, looking down at her. "I've kept the sandwich I ate earlier down now for a couple of hours though, so I guess I am past that."
