I think Breaking Bad has held up very well. I thought the first two seasons were amazing. The third season, which we have three episodes left on, had a few snoozers mid-season but picked up really nicely and the episodes in the second half are as good as any I've seen. It follows the HBO model of having 13 episode seasons (S1 was actually only 7 episodes) so the plot hasn't been diluted over three season the way it might if it were on broadcast TV.

The two main characters in the show have unbelievable chemistry together. They are just fantastic to watch. The lulls in the show always come when they're separated for some reason.

I watched the first three episodes of Boardwalk Empire but I got bored of it. I heard it picked up some but it just didn't interest me the way I thought it would.

I have watched all but the latest season of Dexter. I watched the first two seasons on Netflix and borrowed seasons three and four from a friend. I don't get Showtime so I have to wait for the next season to come out on DVD. I like it a lot although it definitely took some getting used to.

I started watching Fringe when it first came on but it seemed like a cheap X-Files knock off to me. Apparently it got really good in season two, though, so I'll probably watch it eventually. My boyfriend has been bugging me to watch it pretty much since we started dating. He swears I'll love it.

Do either of you watch Supernatural? This is another one my boyfriend has gotten me into. We watch Breaking Bad at my house and Supernatural at his, lol. He's already seen all of the seasons but loves them and has them on DVD so we're watching them together. I'm surprised I never watched it before because it's got a very X-Files element to it.

Eventually I'm going to get my bf to watch X-Files. At first I was shocked that he'd never seen it because he's into Sci-Fi and it seems right up his alley, but he was probably too young when it started. He's four years younger than me so he was only ten when the show started. It made me feel super old when I came to that realization.
