We watched the ep with the first "real" Maddie/David kiss on it last night. This was toward the end of season two; but we'd also seen a "dream sequence" kiss between them earlier in that season.

It's hard to believe this was considered "ongoing unfulfilled sexual tension" back in the 1980s, considering that Mulder and Scully drew things out 'til midway through season seven before their first kiss on XF!! (And didn't even have their first "dream sequence" kiss 'til early in season six.)
