He's so sad and desperate and fighting his every instinct. It's kind of torturous to watch him on screen but so compelling. The scene where he said that he wanted to be a changed man when she was born and then as soon as he saw her he didn't even have to try, then he broke down and said he didn't want to be that man again, I was just crying along with him.

I wonder if we've even met the actual killer, the teacher seems like such a red herring. Maybe his buddy has something to do with it.
