Subject: Robert Patrick on "Burn Notice"

Robert Patrick showed up on an ep of "Burn Notice" we were watching last night. He was a bad guy.

We're watching Season 4 on DVD and I kind of dozed off near the end of the ep, so I'm not quite sure if he's going to be a semi-recurring character or if he got arrested or killed or something at the end of the ep.

One thing that's fun about "Burn Notice" is that it's managed to avoid that whole "If you ever allow the sexual tension between the leads to be resolved, you'll kill the show" thing. Maybe it's because Michael and Fiona started off as ex-lovers, so there was never really "unfulfilled" sexual tension between them. But there's exactly one ep every season when Micahel and Fiona "get together". Then they always wake up the next morning and say, "We really shouldn't have done that, we need to keep our relationship on a platonic, professional basis; this can't happen again." And they go back to simply "flirting" for the next dozen or more eps, until the next season's "Michael and Fiona get it on" ep arrives. They've been using this formula since season one, and the show's still on the air.
