Now that I have reflected, nice ending. With the cast & crew splitting up & moving on, this might indeed be the last we see of Angel & the gang. Joss said he would like to go back to the Buffy-verse at some point but who knows what characters will be available. He's got Serenity to do & networks don't see him as a big success.

In such situations as we've seen throughout both shows, there should have been more deaths. I was moved by Cordy's but Fred's came too soon after to have an impact especially with Fred's body still being around. I liked Wes allowing Illyria to use the Fred illusion as he died. They could be saved or they could be dead. If nothing else, the novels can continue the story.

Joss used lots of cliches but presented them in different ways than expected. AtS S5 was weaker but I felt pulled off a good climax. I liked Buffy S7 & it's conclusion. Better than the XF conclusion that's for sure. Buffy & Angel don't have to end up together, I just wnated to see them meet up again. That Italian ep, although funny, left too much open & unexplained. Better to have left it alone than done it at all. Do you recall that Buffy in the movie said to the Sutherland character when dismissing her slayer mission, "all I want to do is marry Christian Slater, move to Italy & die." She's now done 2 of the 3.
