True, there are a number of goofy things that have happened in this series, but then this show falls into the same genre as 007 where all sorts of goofy things have happened. This Rambaldi stuff seems like a wild goose chase to me and I do have a hard time following all the so-called relics they are collecting. The quest for eternal life (which is what I think they are doing) isn't anything new and this story line is quite bizarre which is fine with me. It certainly beats the survivor and reality crap we are stuck with. What really gets me are the tv slots labeled "to be announced." I would love to watch the Twins or the Vikings but they lose when I do watch--I must be a jinx. That leaves reruns for the summer which is ok if the rerun is of a show I liked or missed.

Back to Syd--she needed to be saved by Vaughn. He's the knight in shining armor thing I like to see once in a while. As for Lauren, I hope that hole she fell into is a bottomless pit so we won't have to listen to her again. She talks with what I call "baby talk" and her accent is pathetic. As a character she added some interest and intrigue but we've had enough of her. Besides that she went after Vaughn and he didn't have a chance of standing up to her advances that early into his grieving.

I do feel sorry for Syd--she has to have the most uncaring family in the world. Her mother abandons her as a baby, her father puts her in experimental programs (and yes he probably does love her and probably does feel guilty now about all that), her aunt tries to kill her, she has a half sister who betrays her to go with slimeball Sloane, and then she loses the love of her life to an evil temptress. At least she has Vaughn back. Her friends at work have been more of a family than her so-called "real" family.

I will watch next season--largely because I am curious about what the writers will come up with next!
