Yes it's a shame that free TV has become less and less acceptable for kids and a parent has to have cable or rent vidoes for good programming. Cable is part of the reason the netwroks have changed though, I think. People started turning to cable more and more in the last few years and when shows like Sex and the City, The Sopranos and Oz become big hits the network feels they have to equal that. They can't though because some things done on cable just aren't allowed on braodcast tv, but the networks keep pushing the envelope further and further.
Do you ever rent vidoes for your kids? That's become a huge market.
