Subject: NCIS lightening up this season

NCIS, which has its season premiere next Tuesday (9/28) is going to be taking a somewhat more lighthearted approach to its mystery-solving in the the majority of this season's eps. Compared to a lot of the ultra-serious dramas (i.e. the various CSI's and Law & Order's, or even JAG the "big brother" of NCIS) NCIS is already a bit more humorous, but apparently they are going to emphasize that element of the show even more. They seem to be going for the tone of some of those 80s shows that combined mysteries with an element of comedy, like "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" or "Magnum, P.I."
