is "Lone Star". I occasionally kibbitz about the fact that nearly all TV shows are set on the East and West Coast with Texas, despite its being the second-most populous state in the nation, only getting about one show per decade set here (i.e. "Dallas" in the 1980s and "Walker, Texas Ranger" in the 1990s and "Friday Night Lights" in the 2000s).

So I guess I should put my money (or, rather, my attention span and eyeballs) where my mouth is and at least watch a couple of eps of any Texas-set series!

I agree with Detoured about "The Event". It looks kind of interesting. But after watching "FlashForward" for most of last season and just ending up confused, I'm not sure I'm willing to commit to another never-to-be-resolved mystery show.
