Who cooks for the Firefly folks?

In one of the flashback eps, they talk about hiring a cook, but it's apparent they've never done so. Yet, in almost every ep, they show the whole crew sitting down and eating a meal together, so it's obvious somebody is actually cooking; it's not just that they're each grabbing a protein bar.

Maybe the Shepherd cooks? Feeding people's bodies would seem to kinda/sorta tie in with his mission of feeding their souls and he brought some fresh fruit and herbs on board when he first joined them.
