Subject: I love Westies!...and Shepherds too
In reply to: SMH 's message, "I like small dogs!" on 17:13:35 01/29/09 Thu

I thought it would be great to have a Westie. They are so cute. There's that series of commercials for a dog food that uses an adorable Westie.
Aw, Sophie is so cute! What sort of personality/traits does she have?

I also like Shi Tzus. They look better though with their haircut.
And Boston Terriers. A friend has one and a lady in the neighborhood goes on walks with her two. And I like those English bulldogs, the stubby ones with the great faces.

But even when I was looking at dogs and found some small ones that caught my eye I tended to gravitate toward the medium, larger dogs. Rusell is actually on the small side compared to most dogs I've had in my life. And nowadays it's easier on my back not to have to bend down as much, lol

Kmom, Frankie looks like SUCH a nice, sweet boy boy. When dogs get older they become such a part of everything you do.
I love Shepherds too. That's sort of how I got Russell because I was in part searching for a Shpeherd mix. He was listed as a Shpeherd even though he doesn't look like the traditional one. One of the other dogs I looked at was a full Shepherd. I wound up with Russell because he was on death row and was responsive to me.
Shepherds aee also used a lot as guide dogs for the blind though Labs and Goldens seem to be more prominant the past few years. The very first guide dog ever was a Shepherd.

Those cats on the roof would make great Halloween decorations. Spooky!
